Lights, Camera, Times Square!

Times Square is one of the most famous landmarks in the country.  People from all over the world travel to New York, and Times Square is one of the city's biggest tourist destinations.  The bright lights, huge billboards, and crowds of people can be overwhelming to those who have never experienced NY before.

While there are so many things to do in Times Square such as shop, eat, see a Broadway show, see the infamous NYE ball etc., not many blogs and sites mention the type of PEOPLE and EVENTS that occur in the square on a daily basis.  Having worked in Times Square for the past several years, I see the craziest, wackiest, strangest, and funniest things happen all the time!  From interesting vendors to wild street performers to big events taking up the whole street, I see it all!  Everyday is a new day and you never know what you're gonna get or who you will come across.  Times Square never ceases to amaze me.

With this blog, I will introduce and keep you up to date on the unique culture that is Times Square!

Enjoy!

  1. This sounds fun! I have never really spent that much time in NYC. The only time I am ever really in Times Square is when I am running between Port Authority and Penn Station or Grand Central! You might just inspire me to take some trips in for the heck of it!

  2. I hope in one of your posts you'll mention the creepy elmo and also the naked cowboy (the white one and the black one alike) and the naked Indian, as well as the free huggers. They're a peculiar and wonderful scene.
